HIE attaches great importance to scientific research and vigorously promotes the mutual promotion of teaching and scientific research. It has increased investment in scientific research and gives preferential support and funding to scientific research topics that meet the main directions of key disciplines and have development prospects. It has established a school-level youth scientific research fund and a high-level talent introduction scientific research fund aiming to guide young teachers and new teachers to actively carry out scientific researches. In the past five years, HIE has invested more than 250 million yuan in scientific research. It has built a stable scientific research team and created a number of academic echelons with a reasonable structure as well as a scientific and technological innovation research group with high academic level.
